JVC have now bought Taiyo Yuden, now enabling them to use their expertise in manufacturing discs. These JVC discs come out of the same factory in Japan, and have the same quality you would expect from any disc that comes with the Taiyo stamp

The disc label surface is coated with a newly-developed, special coating, which fixes only the ink dye on the surface to achieve vivid prints with a high color saturation level of 116%. The smoothness of the label surface is enhanced, and the level of glossiness, which surpasses that of conventional products by at least seven times, both contribute to a brighter and more attractive printed image.

The special coating on the disc label surface dries only the ink dye and fixes it in place quickly, and has achieved a high level of water-resistance that is at least 40 times that of conventional products> Bleeding is also minimized when water droplets fall onto the surface after printing. Not only so, the coating also significantly reduces colour fading due to storage under high humidity.
