Verbatim Dual Layer Discs provide a massive 2.6 GB storage capacity. The dual layer of recording has been made possible by the creation of a new substrate layer that sits in between each recording layer. This allows the laser beam to record on both layers. Once the first layer has been recorded, the laser re-focused to record on the second layer. This gives you a total 55min recording on one side of the disc.

All Verbatim 8cm DVD discs incorporate HardCoat ScratchGuard technology. This layer protects your home movies day after day against scratches, fingerprints and dust. In tests the HardCoat ScratchGuard layer proved to be 50 times more protective from general wear and tear than discs without the coating.
